SAME TREE, MANY BRANCHES...
I see myself as a tree.
I am Søren Vestergaard – guitarist, composer, songwriter and producer. And like a tree, I have roots, growth rings, branches and leaves – each part its own story, but all part of the same.
**The roots** are what no one sees, but everything grows from: a Nordic melancholy, a upbringing with music as a constant companion, and the belief that the best music comes from deep inside yourself.
**The growth rings** are the traces left by time – the years with Apollo, Rumhund and Select Captain. They are still there, layer by layer, even though today I am growing in new directions.
**The branches** are the directions I am working in right now: the solo project in danish, the instrumental soundscapes, my band Opah and the work as a producer for others.
**The leaves** are the concrete expressions – a song, a production, an album. They change with the season, but the tree is the same.
I have produced for artists such as Pernille Rosendahl, Hush, Peter Wangel, Henrik Olesen and Dorthe Gerlach and many others, I've produced and written songs for X factor winners, made music for theatre performances,commercials, movies etc.
